Site
🡸 lup:WHAT
this is a memory site.
WHY
i’m not good at ‘blogging’.
‘public learning’ (e.g. digital garden) requires too much preplanning.
talking about technical things is hard. and i really don’t enjoy it.
SPEC
- site is 40(ish) columns.
- each line fits on an IBM-80 card with enough space for extra metadata.
- indicators overflow the left margin.
- ‘•’ for lists.
- ‘>>’ for h<1-6> tags.
- all h<1-6> headings are the same
size as the paragraph text.
- all heading text tranformed to ‘uppercase’
- headings still use different numbers to preserve semantic information.
all done through CSS.
This is to maintain ‘separation of data and presentation’, so discarding/customizing CSS is uniform.
TIME
timestamps are formatted as such:
YYYYMMDD#HHMMSS
it’s a slightly compressed variation of ISO-8601.
it uses 24-hour time.
the #
is just a visual division between
calendar and clock values.
i opted for a longer year output, but a more perfect symmetry can be done with shortened year indicator:
YYMMDD#HHMMSS
